What is a Micro Church

- Discipleship Center?

 

A church community, typically between 10 and 50 people, with one-on-one discipleship as the central ministry and activity.

 

The Discipleship Center is not location-specific; it can meet in homes, community centers, offices, and other spaces.

 

Discipleship Centers can elect to be intentional about capping their size; many actively limit themselves to 20–50 people.

 

It has a simple structure with low overhead and fewer paid staff, and is often co-vocational or volunteer-led by the main Discipler.

 

The Discipleship Center is focused on evangelism and one-on-one discipleship over inward programming.

 

The congregation gathers for worship, discipleship, and ministry in a straightforward and relational way.

 

The emphasis is on multiplication over expansion—growth happens by starting more micro-churches, not by increasing the size of existing ones.
